We got our hands on the women’s bike kit of a brand that just recently hit the UK shelves. We tried it and really like it and believe you will too!
To put it into context, the AussieGrit apparel 2018 flint women’s bike kit targets the offroad market. However, we received it just in time for our Mallorca road cycling trip, so we took it to the streets and used it for on our road adventures instead.
To cut it short, this kit is pretty impressive from which ever side you look at it.
I personally love eye for detail and really appreciate it when you can spot that brands put some effort in. This was definitely the case here on how the kit was wrapped and presented when we received it. The moment you open the box you get the feeling that the adventure starts here.
The design of the kit is really appealing and to what we believe a nice fresh breeze into women’s cycling fashion. Everything is very well thought through from the functional cut to the subtle chosen colours. The design and shape of the jersey and the shorts is really functional and feels as comfortable as it looks!
The jersey has a looser cut than most road jerseys (keeping in mind it is aimed for riding off-road) which has proven to be massively beneficial on longer road rides. The pockets are nice and deep (e.g. a smartphone is covered completely) and offer a nice strong support. We found that this prevents the contents in your pockets from jumping around and it keeps everything snug.
The shorts offer incredible comfort. The material feels very soft and the power band on the lower end of the shorts keeps the material were it should be without squeezing the material into your skin. As an addition, one leg features a small zip pocket which is great to keep some coffee cash close to you.
To sum it up. Although this kit is built to leave no stone unturned on your offroad adventures, it is a beautiful and highly functional women’s kit that is also a great addition to any road riders wardrobe.
